What this website can do

  • Explain PIP, DLA for children and Attendance Allowance in plain English.
  • Explain general benefit journeys, such as starting a claim, reviews, decisions, mandatory reconsideration and appeal.
  • Explain important terms such as PIP points, reliability rules, VUW, SMI, SR1 and end-of-life rules.
  • Link to official sources for forms, deadlines and current rules.

What this website cannot do

  • It cannot tell someone what benefit to claim.
  • It cannot decide whether someone qualifies.
  • It cannot say what rate or points someone should get.
  • It cannot fill in forms or write individual claim answers.
  • It cannot check medical evidence, decision letters or appeal papers.
  • It cannot give legal advice, benefits advice or medical advice.

PIP and DLA Help is independent. It is not part of GOV.UK, DWP, HMCTS or any government department.
